Special attention to layout and composition was needed for this home, as it required access for a client who utilized a wheelchair. Many of the considerations were accounted for in the rift-sawn white oak kitchen.

There were multiple custom pullouts for mixers, cutting boards, utensils, and more, that allowed for access to all needed functional kitchen items. The cabinets that flanked the range used a reinforced apron, to allow for clearance underneath while cooking. Wheelchair approach was considered from every angle; accessible areas were made at all sinks by creating recessed knee walls.

Another area of the home featured a set of reclaimed shutters that we repaired and repurposed. They were transformed into lovely doors to storage alcoves, on either side of a fireplace. Another designed area was a wet bar; an island bar that integrated salvaged doors and panels to create a red rustic serving area.
